Okay, so I didn't get back to that in a timely way at all! There has been a lot that went on in the past 15 months that has kept me from even thinking about having reserved a blog spot. So, skipping all that, we'll just start with my "arty" day today!
Spent the morning at the Cumberland Art Society in a workshop taught by Lynne Looney on painting abstract acrylic paintings. It was a lot of fun and I learned the key--Use lots of layers!!! Thick ones, textured ones, light ones, partial ones. Important to let each layer dry thoroughly, too, so the layers can float on top of each other and not blend in. Did two paintings--a 16 x 20" one in greens, reds, and yellows and an 11 x 14" one in blues, pinks and purples,
Spent the evening updating my Facebook page Threadz at https://www.facebook.com/threadzart. Put up about 20 pictures of my fibers works and processes. This was done in the interest of "self-promotion"--a necessary skill for an artist! The other promotion thing I've been doing lately is pinterest--adding many pins to my crafts board and my teaching board. However, I should next work on adding pins of my own artwork. Lynne Looney's Pinterest page is a great example of promoting one's artwork.
See you next time. I hope it is sooner than another 15 months!

Trial & Error
Having enjoyed reading regularly the blogs of several friends & relatives, I thought I might try my hand at it. I have been going through a period of trying to determine a new direction for my art, especially my fiber art. It might be helpful to blog about that process and (I say with great optimism) progress.
I know how to journal and how to write, but not sure at all how this whole program works. Thus, the title. Okay, that might be enough for the first trial. I hope there will be more to come in the future!
